Back to my post for the day. The song I will be performing today is a freestyle of a Nigerian Catholic liturgical song. Over here in Nigeria and other African countries, we cannot do without dancing in churches. The song I will be performing today is originally a very lively, fast-paced Afro highlife tune, the type that will make you dance like never before, but I have done something unique with this song. Using almost the same progression, with just a little alteration, I simply played around with the lyrics of the song. The original song progression is 1-4-1-5, but I replaced the first 1-chord with a 6-chord, coming up with a 6-4-1-5 progression. With this, I was not just able to do something unique with the song; I created something entirely different. At first, it looked like I was only going to make a little alteration, but it ended up sounding entirely different. The only thing that remained the same was the lyric of the song.
