A God with Empathy | Rediscovering Jesus

I have a feeling that some people prefer a God that’s more like a robot. A detached, programmable, predictable deity in the sky. And while God is consistent in character and characteristics, I think we lose something when we divorce him from his human experience -- and all that comes with it.You’re listening to Happy & Holy, a podcast about discipleship and community and how we meet each other right where we are to be the people of God on planet earth. Jesus is caring. Jesus gave us a glimpse of what being fully human can be, and that included having emotions and relating to others with them. They didn’t make him less God, and they don’t make us less godly either.
