A history lesson about inflation

While we wait for June's consumer price inflation figure later this morning, I would like to share a history lesson. It is being asked in a number of places, can we do something other than raise interest rates to fight inflation? There is an interesting example of the 1973 oil crisis and what the Japanese did.
