A Look at the Biggest Challenge Healthcare RCM Professionals Face

from Healthcare IT Today Interviews · host John Lynn

When you attend a conference, it's always fun to see if there's a kind of theme or hot topic for those attending the conference.  At this year's HFMA annual conference the big theme I kept hearing over and over had to do with staffing challenges.  Needless to say, the world in general and healthcare in particular has been hit hard with staffing challenges.   In our video interview below, we had a chance to talk with Dawn Johnson, Patient Financial Services Manager at Hennepin Healthcare, to learn more about her experience with this challenge and what they've done to address the challenge.  Johnson shares how they chose to partner with Knowtion Health to address their challenges.  She highlights how the Knowtion Health team has been able to go above and beyond in their COB and MVA claims programs including sending people to the patients' houses when necessary.  This type of extra effort would just not be possible with their current staff and so it made sense to work with an outside partner that could do it.   Find more great health IT content: https://www.healthcareittoday.com/
