This day is set aside to celebrate Mothers. Why do we need to celebrate mothers? We celebrate them because they are very special and play a very important role in the lives of their children who grow up to be men and women who make up the society. Being a mother comes with heavy responsibilities. The life of a mother is a life of sacrifice. Therefore, today’s topic is not just for women but for both men and women. It is a wake- up call for us as Christians to practice the God-kind of love in all our relationships at home and in the society.
