A New Approach to Disaster Education

To ensure our messages on disaster are received and understood by the appropriate audiences, we need to think about New Approaches to Disaster Education. We speak with education expert, researcher and environmental and disaster hazard expert, Neil Dufty. Neil will talk to us about the best ways to develop and manage disaster communication awareness and how to identify our various audiences - or learners. He will also help us understand some of the challenges we face in education and awareness, providing some helpful take-home pointers to help us with our own education activities. Neil will share with us some of his own personal experiences with disasters in Australia.
