A Parable: Let the Rabbits Run! TA049

from THEME-ADDICTS Hosted by UnleashStrengths

http://UnleashStrengths.com/ta049 ~I know...I know! It has been too long since I posted an episode of THEME-ADDICTS. For that, I am sorry. I won't make excuses, but I will in this episode. Anyway, there have been a few signs along the way in my strengths journey. One of those indicators of awesomeness was a parable I read in the book, Soar with Your Strengths. "Let the Rabbits Run!"will lead you through a journey of a rabbit struggling with the thought of becoming well-rounded. This brief parable catapulted me on a mission to change the world! Why do we continue to ignore our strengths? Is spending time focusing on our weaknesses the best way to develop our own unique talents? I hope you enjoy THEME-ADDICTS 2.0! Life is seemingly unpredictable at time, but...can give up, or we can move on. We always have a choice! So as I type this post, I am joined by a cool glass of McClelland's single malt, and a desire to make an impact in the way the world thinks. #vivalastrengths

Here are some key things to know about it:Main Features: Focus: The show followed the cases of Sergeant Joe Friday and his partners, primarily in the Los Angeles Police Department. It depicted the real-life work of detectives, including the tedious investigation process, interviews, stakeouts, and occasional danger. Realism: Jack Webb, the show's creator and star, aimed for authenticity. Episodes were often based on real cases, with details changed to protect the innocent. The dialogue was direct and unvarnished, mimicking the way police officers actually spoke. Famous Intro: The show's opening sequence is iconic: the announcer's voice declaring "This is the city... Los Angeles... California..." followed by the signature "dun-dun-DUN" theme music. Impact: Pioneering Police Procedural: Dragnet is considered a pioneer of The Late Set WRTI Jazz is a conversation — and that’s what The Late Set is all about. Originated by critic Nate Chinen and broadcaster Greg Bryant, the show now convenes Chinen and Josh Jackson twice a month for perceptive variations on a theme, and their related interview with a special guest. Just like a hang at the end of the gig, in the back of the club, it’s direct, unfiltered and illuminating, revealing the music and its culture in a deeper light.
