    #StrengthsHustle TA051

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~ n episode 52, I’ll talk about StrengthsFinder….Duh! And I’ll discuss some of the tools I use to make the hustle a little easier.Everyone wants to be successful, but not everyone is willing to put in the work to get there. Whatever success looks like to you, you have to make sure you inject a healthy dose of Strengths awareness before you embark on your journey. To hustle is one thing, but to know how you perform at your best is another. You could be spending an insane amount of time focusing on tasks that are unfulfilling, unrewarding, and unlikely to lead you to that pinnacle. If you don’t know your strengths, and take action to reveal those bundles of talent that keep your motor running, you’ll run out of fuel before you reach a single milestone.

    Strengths-Based Leadership TA050

http://UnleashStrengths.com/ta050 - There is something positive to be witnessed when a leader chooses to embrace the individual talents of a team. In episode 50 of the THEME-ADDICTS podcast, we discuss what it means to be a strengths-aware leader.Dr. Donald Clifton said “A leader needs to know his strengths as a carpenter knows his tools, or as a physician knows the instruments at her disposal. What great leaders have in common is that each truly knows his or her strengths - and can call on the right strengths at the right time. This explains where there is no definitive list of characteristics that describe ALL leaders.”Below is some content notes that I will share during the show.[Whitepaper] Building a Team Through Strengths-Based Leadership On Leadership by John W. A Parable: Let the Rabbits Run! TA049

http://UnleashStrengths.com/ta049 ~I know...I know! It has been too long since I posted an episode of THEME-ADDICTS. For that, I am sorry. I won't make excuses, but I will in this episode.Anyway, there have been a few signs along the way in my strengths journey. One of those indicators of awesomeness was a parable I read in the book, Soar with Your Strengths. "Let the Rabbits Run!"will lead you through a journey of a rabbit struggling with the thought of becoming well-rounded. This brief parable catapulted me on a mission to change the world! Why do we continue to ignore our strengths? Is spending time focusing on our weaknesses the best way to develop our own unique talents? I hope you enjoy THEME-ADDICTS 2.0! Life is seemingly unpredictable at time, but...can give up, or we can move on. We always have a choice! So as I type this post, I am joined by a cool glass of McClelland's single malt, and a desire to make an impact in the way the world thinks. #vivalastrengths

Amr Alaa | Surround Yourself with Strengths TA047

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~ Strengths-Based Development is a product we provide to our clients in the Middle East as a foundation for Leadership Growth and to develop a 'Chess' vs. 'Checkers' mindset; in other words treating the people according to their own map and not a 'one size fits all' approach. I took the SF 2.0 assessment, believed in it and started to think about 'what goes on under the hood' while I am making a choice in my life. We are blessed as humans by the ability to fly over our beliefs/paradigms using our self-awareness power. My self-awareness became sharper, more trusted and clearer using the Strengths Glossary I acquired by learning about the 34 themes from Gallup CSF research . I Just Took the Assessment...Now What? | Step 2 Revealed TA041

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~ "I just took the assessment. Now, what's my next step? Where do I go from here?" Grace and I have taken a week off from the show to tighten up a few loose ends on individual projects we've been working on. Grace is knocking out her 30 Day Minimalist Challenge, and I have been coaching Strengths all over the state of Iowa! To prevent any major gaps in our broadcast schedule, I mashed together this THEME-ADDICTS compilation. The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment is a great tool. There's no doubt that it has helped millions of people unearth their true potentials. But what happens to those who have taken the StrengthsFinder assessment, receive their results, and then simply toss the report aside due to a lack of guidance or direction?Step 1 has to be followed by a step 2! So...what is step 2?Over the last 40 Strengths-focused interviews conducted on THEME-ADDICTS, we've been able to distill down some solid responses to that exact question. Strengths coaches and enthusiasts alike have revealed their preferred action step to initiate the claiming and aiming steps associated with Strengths-based development. The best part...they're easy to implement! There's no secret sauce or complicated pathway to success. All that step 2 requires is a willingness to begin. Like any journey in life, there needs to be a starting line. The assessment is NOT the starting line. The Clifton StrengthsFinder assessment acts as a compass pointing you towards your mark. Steps 2 is the point where you get to dig your toes in the dirt, and wait for the gun to fire. This is where your heart starts thumping and the journey begins. This is your spark, catalyst and source of motivation. This is your chance to UNLEASH STRENGTHS! Subscribe on iTunes at http://UnleashStrengths.com/iTunes

Laura Cumming | Learning Is An Evolving Journey TA037

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~Laura writes: I originally trained as a management accountant and have worked in large Fortune 500 companies for over 10 years in various senior positions. Over time it became clear to me that I was much more interested in people and supporting them to grow personally and develop their business, than I was in the specific numbers and data analysis I was responsible for.I first took strengths finder 18 months ago when undergoing coaching around my own career. When my Top 5 strengths were revealed, I instantly knew they were describing me. It was quite surreal how detailed and accurate the report was! However, it took me a while to view them as strengths and acknowledge that they were valuable assets. The realization was that I’d been operating outside of my natural strengths zone for so long, trying to be something else, that I’d lost touch with them.Episode 37 Quotes:* StrengthsFinder helps to realize where you want to go, and orient yourself in that direction.* Not knowing strengths "would be like getting my arms and legs cut off"* "Learning is an evolving journey"* Laura's strengths combo made it difficult to explain how she went from problem to result; people couldn't understand the internal process until she explained her talents (#Learner, #Intellection, #Ideation)* Creativity is possible even if you aren't an artist* Teal Consulting's 5-step program: Clarity, Vision, Team Relationships, Wider Team, Top Priorities & Plan of Action* Challenges that come with a top performer moving into a management role* The color Teal is tied to clarity, calmness, found in nature, also the name of a duck* Horses! Sean Trent | I Felt Relieved! TA025

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~ Sean Trent is an automotive technician who's new to Strengths! We love interviewing guests like Sean. His insight is fresh, and his excitement is totally unfiltered. Sean was first introduced to StrengthsFinder after attending a Strengths Meetup that he saw posted on Facebook.A native of Sioux falls, SD, it just so happened that the meetup was launched by our co-host, Grace LaConte! After attending the meetup, Sean left with a better understanding of who he was as an individual, and a feeling of relief. Relieved to know that his actions, talents, and strengths were finally defined using terminology he could share with others.People would understand how he operated, and what sort of things made him tick!We also answer a question submitted by a loyal listener of THEME-ADDICTS. She has a question about my WOO theme, and is interested in knowing more about the reactions I receive from those who may be less accepting of my socially driven strength. The best part...she's seven! Khalil Patwa | A Thousand Miles An Hour

http://UnleashStrengths.com ~ This show is dedicated to everyone whose strength, or strengths, are within the Strategic Thinking domain. Khalil Patwa walks us through his introduction to Strengths, and reveals the impact his new found had on both his personal development, as well as his overall health. He introduces us to a condition known as adrenal fatigue. Many of you can probably relate to Khalil's story. He expresses how is non-stop thinking forced his body to "burnout." Khalil also walks us through the steps he took to ground his mind, body, and spirit in an effort to find peace. Strengths has had such a massive impact on Khalil that he now acts as a certified Strengths coach through Strengths Strategies. "What has struck me most about the Strengths approach, is how it provides a language with which to talk about things that otherwise would be too intangible. Like you know how they say that Eskimo's have 80 different words for snow… Otherwise their conversations would be limited…"Hey bro, what's it like out there today?" "Oh it's a real snowy today…" "And so when we can talk about these different facets of ourselves, we bring them into consciousness and that's where the fun starts, right?!"Thanks for listening, and be sure to subscribe to THEME-ADDICTS via our RSS or iTunes.
