Born in Punjab of Undivided India, Faiz Ahmad Faiz grew up in Pakistan. He has been a teacher, an army officer, journalist, trade unionist, broadcaster… and a poet. It’s interesting to know that Fazi was highly revered by Russians and in fact his literature has brought Russia and Pakistan closer than before.
