A Portrait of Faithfulness

1 Samuel 1:1-2:11As we celebrate Mother’s Day, we want God’s Word to provoke us to faithfulness.We find that encouragement by turning to 1 Samuel 1-2, to see a portrait of a faithful woman, a faithful mother, and a faithful believer who put her trust in the Lord. Hannah’s faithfulness was used by God to change the entire course of Israel’s history. Likewise, may we be amazed with how our Lord can use our faithfulness.We’ll learn that true power is to be found not in one’s position in society but in one’s posture before God.
