A spouse needs to have a calm demeanor

A person's demeanor is their outward behavior, attitude, or manner. A godly marriage requires both husbands and wives to have a calm demeanor. Spouses are commanded to treat their spouse gently and avoid being harsh or quarrelsome. Marriage will inevitably bring disagreements and difficult moments, but spiritual maturity is demonstrated by how we respond to them.
