A Story of Courage and Resistance

from NCRI Women's Committee

Iranian girls face a myriad of challenges, including violence, forced marriages, school dropouts, and lack of access to medical care. Despite these obstacles, however, Iranian girls are showing extraordinary courage and determination, actively participating in protests against the regime. The roots of this defiance can be traced back to the 1979 Revolution, when thousands of teenagers rose up against the Shah, seeking freedom and an end to dictatorship. Many of these young activists paid the ultimate price, executed by the newly established clerical regime. Yet, their spirit of rebellion lives on in today's generation of Iranian youth.Support the show
