A Whole Person

from Imperfect Strangers Hosted by Imperfect Strangers

It’s all fun and games until someone dies. On this episode, Melissa and Amanda revisit a previous conversation on miscarriage which ended with Amanda in tears. Our stranger-friends regroup to continue the discussion after some time away from it, thus creating safe space and understanding for each other. AWWW! They also explore signs and messages from lost loved ones. It’s a departure -- ziiiing. Get it! A departure from the normal conversation you’re accustomed to. Death and depth-- anyway, in short, it’s deep. For this particular episode, there will be no interactive Instagram story. Instead, on the story feed, we will share resources for information on abortion, miscarriage and self-help. This topic should not be taboo, and everyone experiencing a loss should have a safe space to learn and process their feelings on it. Join Dylan as he connects people who have clashed online – from old friends to complete strangers — to explore why we believe what we believe, how we relate to each other on the internet, and just what a phone call can accomplish. Don’t be fooled by the title! It’s actually a loving show that fosters unlikely connections in an age of increasing digital isolation. Whether Dylan is speaking with someone who wrote him a negative comment or is moderating a call between two strangers at odds, the results are often surprising, usually heartwarming, and always compelling.
