Der Chinesische Akademikerchor Berlin wurde im Februar 1995 in der deutschen Hauptstadt gegründet. Seine Mitglieder kommen aus China. Sie studieren, forschen und arbeiten in Berlin bzw. im Berliner Umland. Erster künstlerischer Leiter (bis 1996) und zugleich einer der Initiatoren des Chors war der bekannte chinesische Dirigent Prof. Feng YU (seit 2009 Direktor und Künstlerischer Leiter des Chinesischen Zentralen Opernhauses). Der folgende Chorleiter war Herr Daxi PAN. Vom Herbst 1997 bis zum Sommer 2002 hatte Herr Renchang FU den Chor geleitet, er ist jetzt Chefdirigent von Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra Chinas und Gastdirigent beim sinfonie orchester berlin. Sein Nachfolger war Herr Qiming YUAN. Vom Nov. 2007 bis zum Jan. 2009 leitete Herr Jie HOU den Chor. Danach fungierte Herr Jiannan Sima als Übergangsdirigent.
