Accepting the Mystery as One Family of God

from Sunday Homilies with the Redemptorists · host Novena Church

The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is the key foundation of our Christian faith. On this solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, we celebrate one God in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, each manifesting different roles but in communion with each other. When commissioning His disciples, Jesus instructs them to baptize new disciples "in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” We are reminded to call upon the Holy Spirit to guide us as sons and daughters as we carry out this mission, and to accept and love one another in our differences as we live together as one family of God. -Sunday Homily by Fr. Sikstus Bapa Atawolo, C.Ss.R. (26 May 2024)
