The third step of our recruitment process is 'target acquisition'. This is where the club decides what are the most important factors on which they place a premium. That could be player age, nationality, games played, form, international appearances etc. It will be different for every club.This potential target is then compared against the current values and wages of their current squad, and from here we get an idea of what value this player has, and what a fair wage would be. We've included an example screenshot of what this looks like. Assuming we've decided that we can afford this player the next phase is to complete robust off field due diligence in order to assess whether the player is a good cultural fit for the club and the current dressing room.
