As the Circle and the Ashen Ones settle into their Malfeas...vacation? Sojurn? Layover? Whatever you want to call it, the City of Brass has no shortage of attractions and public events. As both the Infernals congregating around Hell and frequent Exalted visitors of other patrons from across Creation gather, our heroes scramble to make sense the megacity's chaos and further their own plans. Lythander gets his first peer review on the mushroomfolk project and gets a second secret performance review from an infamous Lunar elder! Aura almost loses her priceless Artifacts on the dance floor and discovers the hellish secret of the competitor restaurant trying to drive her out of business! Gavel meets her wacky new neighbors, and almost has a heart attack at Mnemon Rulensai's gala from all the incredibly dangerous intrigue there! Spider has to make his toughest test of martial skill yet: having patience in trying to avoid fistfighting anyone who looks at him funny! And, several streets over, Adrian and Ouroboros make clear their plans to take Iolda out of the equation. Permanently. Regardless of collateral damage or not. The Circle has beaten other Celestial Exalted before, but an entire Circle of them? Jury's still out there! For now!
