ACTBLUE SHIELDS FOREIGN DONORS, CANADA SABOTAGES TRADE TALKS | JUST THE NEWS - NO NOISE

John Solomon and Amanda Head cut through the spin with Rep. Bryan Steil and Rep. Jason Smith.   House GOP investigators say ActBlue's "passport check" was little more than a character count, fraud staff were told to give suspicious overseas donations the benefit of the doubt, and foreign IP and red-flag gifts still cleared. Steil's committees released the third interim report this week. ActBlue denies illegal foreign cash and says nearly all 2023 dollars came from U.S. addresses or passport numbers.   Talks collapsed. Washington slapped 50% tariffs on about $20 billion in Canadian goods; Ottawa answered dollar-for-dollar. Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith says Canada is not negotiating in good faith and that some Canadian officials want Republicans to lose. USMCA's future is now a live fight.   Guests: Rep. Bryan Steil (House Administration) and Rep. Jason Smith (Ways and Means).   Should only Americans fund American elections — and should a trading partner use tariffs as a midterm weapon?
