Acton 2014: The Family & The Market

(June 19, 2014) Dr J traveled to Grand Rapids to participate in Acton University, a four-day exploration of the intellectual foundations of a free society attended by over 1,000 participants from around the world. She gave two talks--this is the first breakout session, "The Family and the Market." In it, she addresses 3 questions: Is the family part of the market or the state? What does the family do that the market and the state both need? How does the destruction of the family undermine a free society?
