Xill can shift between the Ethereal and Prime Material Planes, often surprising their victims. They prefer to paralyze or subdue their targets before injecting eggs. While vulnerable during egg-laying, they gain immunity to all but magical weapons afterward. Protection from evil effectively wards them off.
