Add Heart to Summer Play

from HeartMath's Add Heart · host Deborah Rozman, Ph.D.

After over a year of restrictions due to the global pandemic, many of us are excitedly looking forward to taking some time to get outside, relax, recharge, and connect with the playful part of ourselves this summer. There are many regenerative benefits available to us through getting outside to spend time in nature or to play that are essential to balancing our overall well-being. With the Summer Olympics almost here, it’s a great time to talk about how to add heart energy to get the most out of outdoor play or exercise—whether through walking, swimming, golfing, biking, tennis, or playing with the kids or grandkids. Our Add Heart® Call host Deborah Rozman, HeartMath® President and CEO, and her guest Peter Fox, founding executive producer of ESPN and Senior Content Editor for SportsEdTV, will talk about how adding heart to sports or play increases the benefits and the fun. Peter will share how he trains people from elite athletes to couch potatoes to use HeartMath coherence techniques, and he’ll provide tips that listeners can use right away. Peter will also share how professional athletes and teams are improving their skills using Heart-Focused Breathing™ and Quick Coherence® techniques. We’ll close with a heart-focused meditation to build a reservoir of heart energy we can each draw on to add heart to our exercise program and play over the next month. More about our guest:Peter Fox is Senior Content Editor for SportsEdTV, the leader in online sports instruction, and managing director of SportsEdTV’s Learn to Win peak performance training, powered by HeartMath research and technology. Peter was the Founding Executive Producer of ESPN. He is a HeartMath® Certified Coach and author of A Lifetime of Better Golf, produced with Golf Digest for the Natural Golf Corporation. He was contributing advisor to HeartMath’s Managing Emotions: Golf’s Next Frontier book and founder of Harmony Games®, a platform encouraging diversity, inclusion, and equity using sports as a medium.
