The action or offense of speaking disrespectfully about God or holy things in a profane, secular or irreverent manner. BIBLE DEFINITION OF BLASPHEMY It’s the Greek Word “Blasphēmia” which means; A. Slander or Defamation: The action of the crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation or name. B. Detraction: Diminish the worth or value of something in terms of quality or achievement. C. Speech injurious or harmful to a person’s good name. D. Impious or ungodly and reproachful speech injurious to divine majesty. FORMS OF BLASPHEMY 1. Twisting Sacred Truth about God into Lies - 2 Timothy 2:15, Deuteronomy 4:1-2, Revelation 22:18-19 2.
