I share how easy it is to rationalize our way out of taking action, convince ourselves that the timing isn’t right, or believe our work isn’t good enough to put out. I also talk about how quickly that mindset becomes a pattern that steals time we can never get back.I walk you through the early days of my blogging and podcasting journey, where I had the ideas, the plans, the drafts, and the structure, but still couldn’t get myself to hit publish. It took me months to get a second podcast episode out because I was in my head about everything. What finally changed things was choosing to take action even before I felt ready, and deciding I was going to publish something no matter what. Once I did that, the fear loosened and curiosity took over. When you start believing you are capable and let your actions reinforce that belief, everything changes. You stop looking for permission. You stop trying to predict every outcome. You get curious about what might happen if you try something new. That curiosity is what led to this podcast. It’s what led to the growth of the YLF blog. It’s what led to building the entire YLF ecosystem that now supports your inside/out process.I also share how time has proven the value of simply showing up. In a year of almost daily blogging, the website grew from one hundred visits a month to six hundred. The path wasn’t linear, and it never is. The ups and downs are part of the story. But progress only happens when you stop waiting and start creating.Time is moving fast. If you are in your thirties or forties, you feel that every single day. I do not want you to look back and regret the seasons of your life where you talked yourself out of taking action. You deserve better than that. You deserve to trust yourself, follow through, and take steps toward the life you want.Thank you for listening. Please share this episode with anyone you think would be interested in listening to it.Visit darylperrypodcast.com for links to the show page on each major podcast directory.
