Ben Peterson is an Afghanistan War veteran who was taken by the reception he received when he came home from his tour of duty. He was welcomed by bands playing, flags flying high, and cheering crowds. This is in stark contrast to the pictures he had seen when the Vietnam veterans came home. He also noticed that the Vietnam vets, even after being treated so badly, committed themselves to serve their fellow veterans. Armed with a sizeable list of sponsors, he and his organization are diligently working to ensure a proper welcome home for these maligned warriors.
