En este episodio el actor Modesto Lacen conversa sobre Afrofuturismo con les artistas Awilda Sterling, Julio Gastón y Jose Luis Nuñez. En estos dos podcast se aborda el impacto del Afrofuturismo en los trabajos artísticos de nuestros invitadxs, que van desde el arte experimental, la coreografía, la música y el diseño de vestuario. Además, como también se aborda esta estética afrofuturista desde lo intergeneracional y en sus experiencias mas subjetivas como personas negrxs en Puerto Rico.   El Afrofuturismo se puede ubicar a lo largo del siglo XX en la cultura estadounidense, sin embargo en el año 1994 se acuña el término por el crítico cultural Mark Dery en su ensayo Black to the future. Este lo define como: “…ficción especulativa que trata temas afroamericanos y aborda las preocupaciones afroamericanas en el contexto de la tecnocultura del siglo XX”.
