However, as AI is adopted more widely, important questions are being raised about governance, accountability, transparency and responsible use. In this discussion, Dr Chandrika Subramaniyan and Dr Latha Karthigaa explain what kind of governance is needed to use AI safely and responsibly, and who should be accountable when AI-driven decisions go wrong.Dr Chandrika Subramaniyan is a Sydney-based solicitor, academic, and a prolific author of nearly 80 books. Drawing on her extensive background in corporate governance and law, she advocates for ethical AI governance, urging organisations and board directors to proactive embrace transparent framework controls.Dr Latha Karthigaa is the Head of AI Governance at the Global AI Certification Council (www.gaicc.org) Based in Melbourne, where she focuses on shaping practical governance frameworks, she helps organisations adopt AI responsibly and at scale. She holds a PhD in Software Engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Latha founded an AI and marketing consulting firm and has since built and led AI solutions for finance and legal firms across the globe.
