Alastair Train's Horror Short PEARLS: Oysters that Go Further than Virility - Film Discussion

from Bond on Cinema · host Ward W. Bond

Tony and Linda are struggling to start a family. When Tony is confronted with his fertility issues, he turns to Marvin, a mysterious oyster dealer whose products promise virility — but deliver far more than Tony or Linda expected. Alastair Train’s PEARLS is an out of the box horror short and the big surprise for me is I didn’t know it was a horror film before I watched it. And I loved that as sometimes I won’t read the synopsis so I can watch the film the first time, just like an audience would at a film festival. Then of course I go back to rewatch to find all the cool elements of the storytelling. The storytelling is excellent, the cinematography is at a high level and the special effects and prosthetics are incredible and gives this film the feel of a feature film. #horror #horrorshort #horrorfilm #film #cinema #pearls #oysters #fertility #virility #filmmaker #filmmaking #filmdirector #desire #bondoncinema
