Lucy is the name given to the Gibson Flying V and a series of copies owned by guitarist Albert King. Albert King could really play the guitar. I couldn’t copy the way he played. I’m not a guitarist. So I had to find my own way. It’s fun trying to play the guitar. I just put my own thing into it. Albert King had done the same thing when he heard other guitarist. When he couldn’t play exactly the way the other guitarist he heard, he would mix things altogether and do his own thing. But I’m no ways like Albert King. I just hit a few strings. I don’t play the guitar. King signed with the Stax record label. Produced by Al Jackson Jr., King with Booker J. & the MGs recorded dozens of influential sides, such as “crosscut saw” and “ As the Years Go Passing By. In 1967, Stax released the album, Born Under a Bad Sign, a collection of the singles King recorded at Stax. The title track of that album ( written by Booker T.
