Alexandra Cousins - "The root of all dis-ease is emotional and food is our biggest numbing agent"

from Optimize Your Life · host Gary te Roller

This week I sit down with Alex Schwenn (Cousins as married name) from Authentic Embodied Vitality. Alex is an expert in dry fasting and master fasting and has been studying nutrition for the past 20 years and focusing on detoxification for the past 2 years. While she doesn't put herself into a box, her approach is heavily plant-based and raw. Alex's focus is on nutrient dense foods that will support the body's cleansing process while assisting in the transition to an Authentic Embodied Vitality. Alex has healed herself from serious health issues including bulimia where doctors were not much help. Recently she also helped her husband, Gary, shed 15kg effortlessly. Alex is currently finishing her certificate in Holistic Health Mastery with cutting edge nutritional strategist Ronny Landis. Alex's passion lies in empowering others in their journey to optimal health by focusing on foods as medicine instead of supplements while ensuring every meal is a luxurious experience that completely fulfills you. Alex's approach is about removing the obstacles in the body that prevents access to pure life force flowing through us. Through her own trials, she has found systems that are simple yet so effective in removing any blockages that are in the way.
