Both versions were exactly the same length to the second, which impressed Jake the engineer greatly. This song is in the key of G#m and much of the music comes from the voice and Marc’s bass melody. George plays the guitar parts on Nicodemus. Verses are mostly G#m and D#m, and between verses the chords are C#m and D#m. Before the choruses the chords are C#m, A and G#m. Choruses are mostly G#m and E. Richard and George felt that this song was written about Marc.
