Always a Writer

from Boomer Banter, Real Talk about Aging Well

Deb Richardson-Moore has always been a writer. She was a journalist for the Greenville News for 27 years. She published the popular Branigan Powers mystery series about a reporter investigating a cold case and enlisting the help of a homeless man to help solve the mystery. Deb Richardson-Moore retired as a pastor at a mission church that brings homeless, working poor, middle-class and wealthy parishioners into community. And in 2012 she wrote a book about the first three years of that experience; The Weight of Mercy. Her most recent book, "Murder, Forgotten" is a tale that takes you from the SC Coast to the rugged coast of Scotland, and has us question how much we can trust our memories to provide us with truth.  This podcast episode covers her transition from newspaper journalist, to pastor at a mission church for the homeless to a mystery writer.
