Ambassadors for Christ - Lesson 19

In this episode of Lamplighters, Jan and Lynn continue their journey through the Book of Acts, following Paul’s dramatic return to Jerusalem. Despite repeated warnings from friends and prophets, Paul remains steadfast in his calling, demonstrating unwavering courage in the face of persecution. As tensions rise, we witness Paul’s deep love for his fellow Jews and his unshakable commitment to spreading the gospel—even when it leads him straight into danger. Jan and Lynn discuss the misunderstandings that plagued Paul’s ministry, the emotional turmoil of his friends pleading with him to turn back, and the ultimate sovereignty of God in all circumstances. From a heartfelt farewell tour to a riotous mob and a surprising act of Roman protection, this chapter is filled with lessons on courage, obedience, and trusting God’s plan even when it doesn’t make sense. Join us as we explore how Paul’s story challenges us to stay faithful to our own callings, no matter the obstacles, and ask ourselves: What circumstances do we need to place in God’s hands this week? Tune in and be encouraged by Paul’s unwavering example as an ambassador for Christ!
