Among the Wolves, We Will be Sheep
from Salem Lutheran of Woodbury Sermons Hosted by Salem Lutheran of Woodbury
In this episode, Pastor Bob Beaver dives into Matthew 10:16-23, where Jesus gives his disciples a sobering yet empowering reality check: sending them out not as conquerors, but as defenseless sheep surrounded by ravenous wolves. We explore what it means to pair the shrewdness of a snake with the innocence of a dove, how to navigate hostility and broken family ties without losing heart, and why we don't have to panic or script our defense when trial comes—because the Spirit speaks through us. Tune in as we uncover the promise that holding fast to the end isn't about human strength, but resting in the hands of the Good Shepherd.
