Dirty Epic welcomes aboard @jia6am and @jonnymaven for its 114th episode of Amplify Series. Although Jia and I have been working together at 6AM for over 10 years now, it is quite rare for us to play back-to-back, making it even more special whenever the opportunity arises. We are both DJs who take the art of the warm-up very seriously, and this set was a great chance for us to step back from the +140 BPM techno we all know and love. While we both love high-BPM techno, there’s a certain magic in exploring the gentler, more spacious side of our sound. It grants us the creative freedom to layer textures and moods that might otherwise remain hidden when we dive straight into relentless, pounding beats. Ultimately, this b2b set stands out as a testament to our evolution as DJs and collaborators—showcasing how the foundational warmth of a carefully curated opening can lay the groundwork for an unforgettable night of music.
