An Honest Reflection
from Grateful, No Matter What · host Kyle The Grateful
We all need to strive to be active participants, not just in our lives, but in society. It can seem much easier to withdraw or sit on the sidelines while life passes us by, but who is that really benefiting? It certainly is not helping you grow or evolve as a person because that type of apathy removes you from any type of spiritual path. At the same time, this apathy can lead to a lack of accountability. There plenty of times in life when you make a deal, a promise, a verbal contract with someone. If you end up backing out, becoming lazy or apathetic, then you’re not being accountable with your word. If this becomes a pattern, then you could be viewed as unreliable, irresponsible, or someone who can’t be depended on. No one wants to be seen as this type of person. Therefore, you need to be mindful of how you follow through with your word. If you decide to keep your word, show up in life, and do the right thing when called upon, you’ll be able to hold your head high because you are displaying characteristics of a reliable, dependable, and responsible person. That is something to strive for, something to be proud of, when people, but more importantly you, fully understand that you can be trusted in any and all situations.
