One of the most comforting truths we can hold onto is that the Lord measures our efforts and progress according to our own degree of difficulty. He isn’t comparing you to anyone else. Your journey, your trials, and your pace are unique—and He takes them all into account.When we realize this, we can experience a profound sense of peace. We don’t have to beat ourselves up for where we are, and we don’t have to measure our worth against someone else’s milestones. Our Savior sees our personal effort, our heart, and our desire to move forward—even when the path feels hard.At the same time, this perspective frees us to celebrate others without jealousy or comparison. Just as God judges each of us by our own challenges, we can rejoice in the progress of those around us, knowing that every person’s “race” is tailored to their journey. We can cheer each other on, not out of comparison, but out of shared joy for the courage and faith displayed in every step of the race.Ultimately, recognizing that our degree of difficulty matters allows us to fully embrace our own path, extend grace to ourselves, and uplift others as they run their race too.
