I am really excited to share my reaction with you. 😋 As you know, cocoa is a key ingredient in the production of chocolate. But what many don't know is that before being processed and fermented, cocoa has a completely different flavor. 😱 It's raw and straight from the plant, which gives it a unique and delicious flavor. I was lucky enough to try these cocoa beans thanks to a friend who lives on the coast of the area.🏖️ She has her own cocoa trees and she gave me these fruits (berries) with their seeds to celebrate International Cocoa Day, which It was last July 7th. It was a truly special gift and I am excited to share my experience with you. ¡Hola a todos! 🌿 Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy especial: ¡he probado por primera vez la semilla del fruto de la planta de cacao! Estoy realmente emocionada por compartir mi reacción con ustedes. 😋 Como saben, el cacao es un ingrediente clave en la producción de chocolate. Pero lo que muchos no saben es que antes de ser procesado y fermentado, el cacao tiene un sabor completamente diferente. 😱 Es crudo y directo de la planta, lo que le da un sabor único y delicioso. Tuve la suerte de probar estas semillas de cacao gracias a una amiga que vive en las costas de la zona.🏖️ Ella tiene sus propias matas de cacao y me regaló estos frutos (bayas) con sus semillas para celebrar el Día Internacional del Cacao, que fue el pasado siete de julio. Fue un regalo realmente especial y estoy emocionado de compartir mi experiencia con ustedes. When I tried the cacao bean for the first time, I was surprised by its sweet taste (you can see my reaction in the video). 💓 Unlike the fermented cocoa we are used to, this one was much sweeter and smoother. I loved how the white part surrounding the seeds melted in my mouth, like a pulp, and left a pleasant aftertaste. It's fascinating to think about how the fermentation process transforms the flavor of cocoa, but it's also wonderful to be able to appreciate the natural sweetness of this bean straight from the plant. Properties of the cocoa fruit: Cocoa contains a high concentration of antioxidants, such as polyphenols, which help fight free radicals in our body. These antioxidants may contribute to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, premature aging and some types of cancer. It is known for its ability to stimulate the production of endorphins, also known as the "happiness hormones". These substances make us feel good and can improve our mood. In addition, cocoa contains tryptophan, a serotonin precursor amino acid, which is also related to the feeling of well-being. it is an excellent source of essential minerals such as magnesium, iron, zinc and copper. These minerals play crucial roles in numerous bodily functions, such as energy production, red blood cell formation, and strengthening the immune system. Me encantó cómo se derretía en mi boca la parte blanca que rodea las semillas, cómo una pulpa, y dejaba un regusto placentero. Es fascinante pensar en cómo el proceso de fermentación transforma el sabor del cacao, pero también es maravilloso poder apreciar la dulzura natural de esta semilla directamente de la planta. Propiedades del fruto del cacao: El cacao contiene una alta concentración de antioxidantes, como los polifenoles, que ayudan a combatir los radicales libres en nuestro cuerpo. Estos antioxidantes pueden contribuir a la prevención de enfermedades cardiovasculares, el envejecimiento prematuro y algunos tipos de cáncer. Estas sustancias nos hacen sentir bien y pueden mejorar nuestro estado de ánimo. Alimento mágico de los ancestros I remember that when I was a child my mother took me to many activities, in those spaces varieties of cacao plant growers would meet and one was able to learn much more than chocolate, I hope all this information that I learned and wrote down is useful to you in the same way. ✨ Cocoa is magic, it is flavor, it is tradition and millennial culture.It is believed that cocoa has been cultivated and consumed for more than 3,000 years in different Mesoamerican cultures such as the Mayans and the Aztecs. These civilizations considered cocoa a sacred food and used it in religious ceremonies and rituals. In addition, cocoa was also used as currency and medicinal properties were attributed to it. Even today, cacao remains an important part of the culture and tradition of many communities in Latin America, including Venezuela. Recuerdo que cuando era niña mi madre me llevaba a muchas actividades, en esos espacio se reunían variedades de sembradores de la planta del cacao y uno lograba aprender mucho más de que chocolate, espero toda esta información que yo aprendí y anoté, les sea útil a ustedes de igual forma. ✨ El cacao es magia, es sabor, es tradición y cultura milenaria. Se cree que el cacao se ha cultivado y consumido durante más de 3.000 años en diferentes culturas mesoamericanas como los mayas y los aztecas. Estas civilizaciones consideraban al cacao como un alimento sagrado y lo utilizaban en ceremonias religiosas y rituales. Además, el cacao también era utilizado como moneda de intercambio y se le atribuían propiedades medicinales. Incluso hoy en día, el cacao sigue siendo parte importante de la cultura y tradición de muchas comunidades en América Latina incluyendo Venezuela. My experience with the seed of the fruit of the cacao plant was truly gratifying. If you get the chance, I highly recommend you try this raw treat and enjoy its sweet and unique flavor.
