Restrained beef production is keeping the beef market slow-moving. Grinds, chucks, and rounds continue to demand premium prices. Ribeyes and tenderloins have hit bottom and are moving higher. Strip loins are the buy in middle meats.Chicken production continues ahead of last year. Wing pricing is steady for next week, a big change after weeks of declining costs. Breasts and tenders are moving higher. Only one new case of Avian Flu was reported, affecting 880 birds.Pork bellies closed lower after last week's surprise increase. This should continue as production will increase coming out of the summer. Ribs are moving lower and may be in "bargain territory" soon.
