Overwhelmed with gratitude and even guilt that her home was spared when neighbors lost everything, Connie prayed to understand how it happened. She heard a voice say, "I will show you," and was given a vision: a great army of men in gray-white clothing encircling her home, backs to the flames, arms outstretched hand to hand. She came to understand they were her ancestors — those whose names she had labored for years to find and whose temple ordinances she had completed.
