The incident happened around 9 p.m. Thursday, April 12 at Hotshots Sports Bar and Grill at 247 E Plaza Dr. in Mooresville.
The suspect has been identified as Shaquille Dangelo Steele, 22. He has been charged with DWI and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Witnesses said Steele became enraged after the restaurant refused to serve him more alcohol. He left the restaurant and moments later drove his car through it. Multiple people were reported to have minor injures.
Steele is being held at the Iredell County Jail on a $200,000 secured bond.
