Angry Formula 1 fans? Ferrari and other team boss changes! WEC, Formula E & more

from Lovecars On the Grid. Global Motorsport Podcast · host With Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman

Welcome to our 50th episode of the Lovecars on the Grid podcast with Tiff Needell and Paul Woodman!   Today, our hosts cover F1 news, WEC, Formula E and more! Starting with Formula 1, Tiff is upset with Ross Brawn, following an interview where he praised Formula 1 owners Liberty Media, staying that they have the right balance between the product they are delivering and what the fans want to see. Is Formula 1 alienating it's core fan base? What do you think? Let us know in the comments!   In other F1 news, Mick Schumacher has signed to Mercedes as their reserve driver. There's also rumours of Ford sponsoring Red Bull's engines in future. We also have a new Ferrari Team Principle, Fred Vasseur. The Frenchman comes from being Alfa Romeo boss and Sauber Motorsport CEO. Vasseur is to be replaced by Andreas Seidl, who was CEO of McLaren. McLaren then get Andrea Stella who has been promoted from within the company.   Glickenhaus have announced that they will continue in the World Endurance Championship. Ex Formula 1 driver, Romain Grosjean has announced his drive for Lamborghini in 2023. The campsites for Le Mans have sold out for 2023 already!   With Paul not being part of the Caterham Championship next year, Caterham have announced a race in Barbados in 2023, with 24 cars signed up already!   The new gen. 3 cars have arrived for Formula E, as the teams have begun testing in Valencia. There's lots of new technology, plus Hankook being the new tyre supplier. The new cars have no rear brakes, and rely on regeneration braking, where cars have to regenerate 40% of their power to get to the finish line! Formula E have also dropped the fan boost, and are looking to introduce a pit stop recharge! The racing starts in Mexico on 14th January.   We won't be back now until the New Year, where Paul will be live from Dakar!
