It's more than just books at aadl.org Bridgerton Ball Dearest Gentle Reader… (listener, in this case) The social season may be in full bloom, but no season could be complete without a summer ball at AADL. Whether you come to admire the spectacular dress of the time, snap photos of yourself and your friends in your regency regalia, partake in light refreshments while sharing the latest (book) gossip, or learn an English country dance or two, one can be assured, there is fun to be had for all. Costumes are encouraged but not required. The Bridgerton Ball. Wednesday, July 1 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Downtown Library in the year 2026 Classic Arcade Week! We're back to work on Sunday, July 5 to kick off CLASSIC ARCADE WEEK at AADL. We're bringing 20 classic arcade game cabinets to AADL's AALF (Archives, Acquisitions, and Logistics Facility) at 265 Parkland Plaza from July 5 through Thursday, July 9 for free play by one and all. Keep your quarters! On Thursday, players who hit high scores during the week are invited to compete in a tournament to test their skills on games like Asteroids, Berzerk, Burgertime, Dig Dug, Moon Patrol, Joust, The Simpsons, QBert, NBA Jam, Frogger, and more! We're three codes into summer, and if you missed last week's HEDOESNTMEANIT, which only 49 players redeemed because they know sometimes Scott DOES mean it, I decided to choose something more peppy and positive this time around. So here it is: LAWNSIGNS This is in celebration of the 3,800 and counting Summer Game lawn signs that are all over Ann Arbor and surrounding towns.
