Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman, Author of "The Double Tax" explains how to lower the cost of being a woman

In today's episode, Stephanie has the pleasure of discussing the double tax on women with Anna Gifty Opoku-Agyeman. Anna is an award-winning Ghanaian-American researcher, writer, and public policy scholar. She is currently a doctoral student at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she focuses on public policy and economics. Anna is the youngest recipient of the CEDAW Women’s Rights Award, granted by the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, in recognition of her work toward gender equity. Her first book, which explores how gender, race, and economics intersect to produce what she calls the “double tax” on women, has been featured by major outlets, including NPR, ESSENCE, Telemundo, FOX Soul, and The New York Times.
