Yes, the idea of having multiple spouses or “open relationships” is quickly becoming more accepted as people reject God’s definition of marriage and instead embrace the idea that everyone can live with whatever makes them “happy.” But “happiness” is not the definition of morality or marriage! God’s Word is. In Genesis, God created male and female and brought them together to become one flesh. Marriage is God’s institution because he created it.
