It’s based on dates from meteorites! Because of their evolutionary assumptions, evolutionists believe these meteorites are the same age as the earth, so if you date one, you have the age of the other. But there’s a host of unprovable assumptions behind radiometric dating. And it’s been shown to give incorrect dates for rocks of known age.
