Anti-Brutish is a stance against being Brutish. Anti-Brutish is a stance opposed to being Brutish. DICTIONARY DEFINITION A. Brutish refers to a behavior or character which describes someone who is cruel, violent and uncivilized. B. Brutish also describes someone who is uncivilized, cruel, violent, and behaves more like an animal more than a human being. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BRUTISH? The word “Brutish” is the Greek Word “bâ‛ar” which means the following; 1. To Become Brutish is to consume When you love food much more than seeking the Lord, you have become brutish (Proverbs 13:4 NIV). Brutish pastors and leaders love consumption than seeking the Lord and the things of God. Such pastors and leaders will make the church a grazing field for the devil. The pastors are not prayerful, they are talkers more than doers. Always having meetings with no results. Brutish pastors in this church: —— Where are your evangelism campaigns? —— Where are your prayer meetings in this church? —— Where are your cell meetings? —— How many souls do you follow-up or pray for in a week? —— We are all busy, going about our families, works and left the house of God to rot. —— Where is your pastoral ministry?? Where your works as a pastor? 2. To become Brutish is to be Carnal instead of spiritual. Many pastors have become more carnal than spiritual. A prayerless pastor is a weak pastor, an empty pastor and carries no power in the realms of the Spirit. Pastors and leaders, where is your spirituality? —— Where is your quiet time? —— Where is your bible studies? —— Where is your prayer and fasting life? Carnality is a serious defect of the church of Christ. Wake up from your slumber.
