Antická římská literatura je literární dědictví starověkého Říma, které se vyvíjelo od 3. století př. n. l. do 5. století n. l. a ovlivnilo mnoho oblastí evropské kultury. Zde je stručný přehled: Epika: Vergiliova Aeneis: Epos o zakladateli Říma, Aeneasovi. Ovidiovy Proměny: Metamorfózy, které vyprávějí mýty o proměnách v lidi, zvířata, atp. Tragédie a komedie: Tragédie byla ovlivněna řeckým stylem, včetně děl Seneca. Komedie byla oblibou v římském divadle, s díly Plauta a Terencia. Historická literatura: Cicero: Politické, filozofické a rétorické spisy. Suetonius: Životopisy římských císařů. Filozofická literatura: Seneca: Eseje o morálce a etice. Marcus Aurelius: Filozofické úvahy v díle "Sebeovládání". Satira: Juvenal: Kritika společnosti, politiky a mravů v satirických básních. Antická římská literatura odráží římskou kulturu, hodnoty, politiku a historii té doby. Její vliv je znatelný dodnes.
