Applying Marketing Skills from Other Industries to Healthcare

from Healthcare IT Today Interviews · host John Lynn

One of the core aspects I wanted to incorporate into the healthcare and IT marketing conference when I started it was having voices from outside healthcare bring in external experience and knowledge that would make healthcare marketers stretch their thinking about how healthcare marketing should go.  Often hearing this outside perspective means we adjust the approach a little because of privacy or other considerations, but it is powerful to explore how other industries are marketing.   Another way to approach this is to add someone to your healthcare marketing team who has experience in other industries.  That's what happened when HITMC Rising Star Award winner, Jasdeep Mann, Director of Marketing & Strategy at ReMedi Health Solutions, was added to the team.  Mann had marketing experience, but was new to healthcare.   In the video interview below, we sit down with Mann to learn what it was like getting into healthcare marketing and then winning the HITMC Rising Star award.  He also shares the marketing project he's most proud of and what made it a success.   Healthcare Marketing Conference: https://healthitmarketingconference.com/
