Archetypes: The Crone

The Crone is one of my favorite archetypes because of her relationship to darkness. I admire her fearlessness when gazing into the unknown and knowing that in darkness is where seeds of life are planted. She bridges the gap between our understanding of all that is, was, or will be. She is the midwife of new life, gently receiving it and giving it a soft space to land. She is also the one to bring peace when life is seemingly at its end and clarity that this ending is just the turning of a new page.
