"Are You Cursed By The Words?" RESCUE RADIO with Marjorie Cole

Jabez was named Pain Maker by his mother! Some of us have had similar words spoken over us: trouble maker, you are never going to amount to anything, you are worthless, and  I'm so ashamed of you! How did Jabez handle the curse attached to his name? He cried out to God and said he did not want to be under the curse of those words anymore. He wanted to be blessed and not be shaped by the negative words that hid his identity and blocked his destiny.   So many of us try to change and cannot sustain the desired changes ourselves. We lose our resolve. Jabaz did not give up; he surrendered his future and situation to God, and God heard him and blessed him.   We can take hold of our destiny and secure our true identity in Christ, through Christ.
